PHILIP PANK PARTNERSHIP LLP
Our Approach to Social Value
Delivering meaningful social value is at the heart of everything we do. We believe our role is about creating lasting, positive outcomes for the communities in which we work.
Our aim is to deliver wherever possible on our projects tangible, measurable benefits aligned to local priorities. By working closely with clients, stakeholders and communities, we focus on activities that are relevant, impactful and leave a meaningful legacy.
To underpin our commitment, one day a year is available to each employee to undertake charity or social value activities. These are encouraged to be linked to our current projects on site where possible.
What Social Value Means to Us
We define social value as activity that goes beyond contractual obligations to deliver genuine benefit to communities. This means focusing on
1
Addressing identified local needs
2
Delivering additional outcomes, not business-as-usual activity
3
Ensuring ethical, fair and inclusive practices
HOW WE WORK
A Structured and Collaborative Approach
We embed social value into every stage of delivery through:
Senior leadership
Social value is championed at senior level by Nicola Dibb, our Social Value Champion, who reports directly to our Partners.
Tailored social value plans
Each social value plan is shaped around the specific project, client objectives, and the needs of the local community.
Defined targets and milestones
Defined targets and delivery milestones help ensure social value commitments are practical, focused, and achievable.
Monitoring and reporting
We track progress throughout delivery to ensure outcomes are measurable, transparent, and capable of continuous improvement.
Collaborative Delivery
We work closely with clients, consultants, supply chains, and community organisations to maximise impact and shared value.
PROJECT EXAMPLES
Social Value in Action
We have a strong track record of delivering impactful social value across a range of projects and client partnerships:
Supporting STEPS Club for Young People
Supporting STEPS Club for Young People (Weymouth) through donation and installation of 3 desktop computers. Our Partner, Dean Wichall, personally delivered and set up the equipment. The charity runs vital initiatives supporting young adults facing life challenges.
“Dean was absolutely fantastic – liaising with us over weeks and then personally delivering and installing the computers! The equipment will be very useful and well-used by young people for many years to come. We’re so grateful to PPP.”
Worthing Homes – Clifton Road & Ivy Road
On projects including Clifton Road and Ivy Road for Worthing Homes, where the end user is the homelessness charity Turning Tides, we have:
- Provided pro bono pre-construction and cost consultancy services
- Made financial donations to support the charity’s work
- Helped maximise project value, enabling greater support for people experiencing homelessness
London Borough of Sutton – Elm Grove
We are currently co-creating a social value delivery plan with the Council on our 3 year regeneration scheme at Elm Grove.
Proposals include skills workshops for local NEETS, career signposting and support, work experience weeks working with Sutton College, IT equipment, volunteering in local community projects and the funding of online construction courses.
Charity and Community Initiatives
Alongside project-specific delivery, we support wider community initiatives across our portfolio, including:
- Fundraising for charities such as MIND, RNLI, and Brendoncare through organised challenges.
- For Westminster Community Housing, we contributed to a ‘Sponsor a Brick’ campaign, helping fund additional facilities and community spaces that improved wellbeing and quality of life for vulnerable residents.
- Funding 500 Christmas meals for Hyde households in need through partnership initiatives.
- Sponsoring local initiatives such as Abbey Rangers U7 football team.

STEPS
Club for Young People, Weymouth
“PPP have been working closely as Employer’s Agent with LB Sutton and Sutton Housing Partnership for the last 2 years, helping them procure a development partner and finalise planning at the Elm Grove Estate. They have achieved the timely signing of the Development Agreement with our partner and start on site happed in Summer 2025 as planned”
London Borough of Sutton
Head of Regeneration, Enabling and Development, Environment, Housing and Neighbourhoods
“PPP undertook desktop reviews of our 15 high rise blocks with subsequent intrusive investigations. They offer a very good service with attention to detail, good quality reporting and have been retained post investigation to undertake remediation of 5 of the buildings. Their level of professionalism and in depth knowledge of building and fire safety makes them an invaluable resource to us.”
SNG
Head of Building Safety
“Having worked with David and PPP on New Road Triangle, I was thoroughly impressed with the whole team’s attitude. They went over and above the standard scope, ensuring the project ran smoothly, co-ordinating with us and other stakeholders regularly and carried out the pivotal role of co-ordinating the other consultants. We achieved an early finish and came in under budget, due to strong collaborative approach from everyone involved.”
Ecoworld
Senior Director
“On the BS8414 Tests, I don’t think we could have got to where we have got today without Luca. His approach with the design team, contractor and test house has been exceptional. He has kept on top of things, kept all parties up to date and really got to grips with the technical elements. A big thank you from us all at SNG. ”
