Our specialist service as Principal Designer and/or CDM Advisors under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), supports our clients in meeting their legal duties while creating safer, more efficient, and buildable projects.
We work closely with clients, designers, and project teams to plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate health and safety during the pre-construction phase. This includes identifying and eliminating foreseeable risks, reducing residual hazards, and ensuring that design decisions prioritise the wellbeing of the contractor during construction and the teams who will maintain, and residents who will ultimately use the building.
Our approach is practical and collaborative, facilitating clear communication between all duty holders, coordinating design risk management processes, and ensuring key information is shared effectively. We prepare and maintain essential documentation, from the pre-construction information to the health and safety file, helping to ensure full compliance with CDM regulations.
Our Principal Designers are often appointed as part of our Employer’s Agents role. We can give a valuable overview from appointment – overseeing contractors design development and giving clients comfort projects will be delivered in a safe way and be easy to maintain in operation.
