Our approach ranges from targeted desktop analysis through to detailed visual/intrusive inspections and testing, as appropriate to the risk profile and scope of instruction.
Our reports are clear, evidence-based and outcome-driven – identifying key risks, testing compliance against applicable standards and fire strategies, and setting out practical, prioritised recommendations. This enables building owners, asset managers and stakeholders to take informed decisions and implement effective remedial measures.
· A core element of our service is the inspection and evaluation of compartmentation. We assess whether fire-resisting walls, floors and barriers are correctly designed, installed and maintained, in line with the building’s fire strategy, to limit the spread of fire and smoke.
· We undertake detailed investigations of external wall systems, identifying fire risks associated with cladding, insulation and façade materials, and supporting wider compliance and remediation strategies.
· Fire door inspections form a key part of our assessments, including evaluation of condition, installation, certification and compliance with relevant standards, ensuring they perform as intended within the overall fire strategy.
· We also support clients in specifying and coordinating specialist testing regimes, including bomb calorific, BS EN 1364, BS 476 and BS 8414 (click here for details), ensuring a comprehensive and joined-up approach to fire safety risk management.
