We held Programme Analysis meetings with the Contractor outside of the monthly project meetings to assess progress against programme. This has enabled the project to be resequenced to stay on track. We have been instrumental in increasing the density of the site from 178 units to 255 through an extensive value engineering exercise, which in turn reduced predicted costs to fit within Hyde’s budget costs. Early inflationary issues threatened the project significantly and we proposed a bespoke contractual mechanism, which was reviewed and agreed by third party solicitors and funders and provided a sensible way forward for all parties in what is continuing to be a volatile market, whilst controlling all key risks to the Hyde.
