We are supporting Enfield Council in delivering a multi-phase residential improvement programme to various estates providing new bathroom pods with the current phases taking in nearly 200 homes.
The project focused on evaluating the feasibility of insitu construction of bathroom extensions in masonry, SIPS or lightweight steel frame versus off site constructed modular pod installations with all works carried out with residents in occupation. Our initial feasibility work established that only an offsite solution could realistically obviate the need to decant residents because the downtime for the bathroom is reduced to less than one day during which respite can be offered.
We have established a bespoke Umbrella Contract that has allowed Enfield to appoint a contractor to pre-plan and deliver the work in two phases with each phase operated under a separate JCT Contract and KPIs used to measure performance and quality on Phase 1 prior to confirming Phase 2 commencement.
