The contract comprised the removal of the existing passenger lifts, extensive structural alterations to facilitate the installation of new escalators forming the new circulation hub for the store. The works included extensive mechanical & electrical alterations & re-wiring. The finishes & fittings were installed by specialists & artisans incorporating extensive hand cut glass & bronze. All work had to be carried out without disruption to the sales floors which involved extensive out of hours working. Delivery of materials needed to be co-ordinated with store deliveries.
